From ACT: Delicious Apple Slice
This is from the South Australian newsletter, April/May 2007. But originally it's from ACT Shirley B.
May be served as an afternoon teacake, or as a desert topped with ice cream. Yummy!
1 woolworths Home Brand butter cake mix
100 grams of butter
1/2 cup coconut
Mix a carton of sour cream (300 grams).
1 tin of pie apples (400 grams), pulverised.
Oven temperature 180 degrees.
BASE. Make up base with the cake mix, butter, egg and coconut. Add a little milk if too dry. Place in a slice tray and bake for 20 mins.
TOPPING: Combine the sour cream and apple. Place on top of base, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake for another 20 minutes.
